What we give we keep

What he gives he keeps, and because he created you he keeps you, and because he created you, you follow the same rule.

God also created you perfect-complete without lack.

And so you are as he created you perfect and eternal.

But how can this be? When the world is full of the belief that we live and die. In fact the world is full of changes. We are young and we grow old. We are happy. We are sad. We see the sun. We have the night.

The answer is we see what we believe is there. We hear what we believe is there. What we believe determines that way the world is for us. That doesn't mean what we see, hear and feel in our worlds is true. In fact if we have given up the belief that we were created perfect and eternally by God, we may be giving up a belief in truth and holding onto a belief that is not true about you.

Okay, so I may be believing in something not true and my will to have it be true may be keeping me from seeing the truth of things. What can I do about it. Well there is.

Think or pray on these beliefs.

What God gives he keeps and he has kept you.

We were created perfect and eternal, by our holy father in heaven.

We are sustained by our holy father in heaven.

What we give, we keep, because that's the way God created us.

God is perfect.

God is whole.

God is truth.

the ego

The ACIM book gives it's perspective on the ego. To me it says that the ego is created by each of us, based on the belief that we are separate from God and the world. It goes on to say that this belief is an error, and the ego we create is based on that error.

What we create, we love, so we love the ego. We can't not love what we create, because of the way we were created by God. God loves us because he created us, and that is unchangeable. But errors can be changed because they are not real. God has saved us from our own errors, but we have to ask for it. We have to want God's peace.

We can not fight the ego because fighting it makes it stronger in us. We have to invite the holy spirit in us to show us another way to see the world that is really part of us. Seeing the other way is a healing miracle.

Faith, Belief and Forgiveness

Faith and belief are the most powerful gifts our creator has given us, and yet these gifts give us no power over our brothers and sisters, they only empower us in our own existence. We chose what we believe and have faith in, and our choices determine the lives we live. Chose to believe something that is not true and your life will be a life of lessons showing the truth you don't believe. Believe in something that is true to the core and you life will be one where you will anticipate your path, because it is consistent with the truth you believe.

I find it ironic and sad that so many of us believe in religious dogma that says we are different than each other. God created us all equal, and he didn't create us to hurt or kill each other.

Religions and beliefs that say that men are different are not something to put faith in, they are not true, if God created us all equal. This is especially ironic for Christians, they have chosen Christ as their path to God, but Christ, the son of God, was also a Saint of Forgiveness, and taught lessons of not judging our brothers, and that forgiveness of our brothers and ourselves was the path to God. These lessons are lost in trying to teach your brother, if you do not know them your self. These lessons are gifts form God, to Christ, to you. They are meant for you personally. If you do not care to know what they mean to you personally, you have no business telling your brother what they mean to him. Your brother has his own path to God, and God did not put you in between your brother and God, and you don't belong there. Judging any brother is trying place yourself between them and God, God will not let that happen, but when your brother believes you belong there, you have helped your brother believe what is not true, that you can do what God didn't give you to do, Judge your brother, and you share in a belief that is untrue, that your brother can be judged by you.

If you are Christian you should follow the path and lessons Jesus gave you. You should strive to understand what those gifts mean to you personally, and how they direct your behavior with your brother. For only if you learn from God's gifts through Jesus will you find your true relationship with God. If you are of Christian faith and you want a true relationship with God, you must learn not to judge your brothers, and then learn not to judge yourself. For the Christian path to God is forgiveness.

I have read the ACIM book about 8 times over 10 years.  It has changed my life at least my life on the inside. One of the ideas I got from reading the book, is that any idea not shared with our brothers in Christ is not real, that we all share a common source whether we see it or not. With that idea I am starting a blog. discussing how and what ideas related to ACIM come up in my day to day life. My hope is that it will help others who are seeking the path to redemption.
